HC Deb 22 April 1907 vol 172 cc1400-1
LORD BALCARRES (Lancashire, Chorley)

To ask the Chief Secretary to the Lord-Lieutenant of Ireland what proportion of the 6s. 7¼d. annually expended per head of the Irish population on public education is raised from Irish sources.

(Answered by Mr. Birrell.) The figures quoted in the Question are taken from the Answer which I gave to the Question of the hon. Member for South Down on the 7th instant.† If the noble Lord will refer to that Answer he will find it specifically stated that all the expenditure there indicated is borne on the Votes of Parliament or the Consolidated Fund.
