HC Deb 18 April 1907 vol 172 c1116
CAPTAIN HERVEY (Bury St. Edmunds)

To ask the Secretary of State for War if it is intended, under the Territorial and Reserve Forces Bill, that the establishment of county associations should be permissive; and, if they are permissive, what would happen to the existing organisation of the Militia, Volunteers, and Yeomanry in counties where associations were not formed.

(Answered by Mr. Secretary Haldane.) In accordance with the terms of the Bill the associations need not be all established at once, but may be formed progressively. Until associations are actually formed the existing powers in relation to the Auxiliary Forces will continue.
