To ask the Secretary to the Treasury, whether he will grant a statement showing the annual leave allowed to each rank in the Exchequer and Audit Department, including the Comptroller and Auditor-General and the Assistant Comptroller.

(Answered by Mr. Runciman.) I learn that the scale of leave authorised by the Comptroller and Auditor-General for the various ranks of the Exchequer and Audit Department is as follows:—

Per annum.
Principal and senior clerks 48 days.
Chief examiners 36 days
Examiners 24 days
After 10 years service 30 days
After 20 years service 36 days

The Comptroller and Assistant Comptroller conform to the rules applicable to the Civil Service generally.
