SMYTH (Leitrim, S.)I beg to ask the Chief Secretary to the Lord-Lieutenant of Ireland if the Irish Land Commission has received a petition from a number of tenants residing at Clooncoose, Newtowngore, county Leitrim, with reference to a portion of turbary on the O'Rourke estate which was to be given to them, and which is now included in the holding of another 1000 tenant; and if any action will be taken-regarding the same.
§ MR. BIRRELLThe Estates Commissioners are unable to trace the receipt of the petition referred to, or to identify any proceedings for the sale of the O'Rourke estate, county Leitrim, as having been instituted before them.
