HC Deb 17 April 1907 vol 172 c954
MR. SEDDON (Lancashire, Newton)

To ask Mr. Chancellor of the Exchequer whether the Commissioners of Customs are enforcing the Customs Act, 1842, in accordance with the decision of the Court of Appeal in the case of Goldsmith Company v. Wyatt.

(Answered by Mr. Asquith.) As the case to which the hon. Member refers is now the subject of an appeal to the House of Lords, the Board of Customs have not as yet departed from the practice which has prevailed for many years.
