HC Deb 16 April 1907 vol 172 cc744-5
MR. L. HASLAM (Monmouth Boroughs)

To ask the Postmaster-General whether, in view of the fact that duty is levied in Australia on trade catalogues posted separately in large quantities to that country from the United Kingdom, while no duty is levied in the United States on similar trade catalogues, he will consider the advisability of placing the matter before the Colonial Conference with the view of the discontinuance of the practice.

(Answered by Mr. Sydney Buxton.) I understand that this question will be discussed with the Prime Minister of Australia.
