HC Deb 15 April 1907 vol 172 c577
MR. LONSDALE

To ask the Chief Secretary to the Lord-Lieutenant of Ireland whether his attention has been called to a Resolution passed by the general synod of the Church of Ireland, on 10th April, expressing the opinion that the Government should, by supplemental Estimate or otherwise, bring the grants for education in Ireland up to a level with those for England and Scotland; and whether he will press this matter upon the consideration of the Treasury.

(Answered by Mr. Birrell.) My attention has been called to the Resolution referred to. The question of obtaining additional funds for primary education in Ireland is constantly before the Irish Government.
