MR. CHIOZZA MONEY

I beg to ask the President of the Board of Trade if he can state the value in 1906 of the total imports into the United Kingdom of all articles upon which revenue duties are now imposed from each of the self-governing Colonies.

MR. LLOYD-GEORGE

The total value of dutiable articles imported from each of the self-governing Colonies in 1906 was as follows:—Cape of Good Hope, £12,677; Natal, £4,187; Transvaal, £30; Australian Commonwealth, £106,537; New Zealand, £163; Canada, £15,368; Newfoundland and the Coast of Labrador, £289. These figures are classified according to the Colony from which the goods were consigned to the United Kingdom.
