§ SIR GILBERT PARKER (Gravesend)I beg to ask the Under-Secretary of State for the Colonies what was the previous judicial experience, and what wore the professional qualifications of the judges and magistrates now doing duty in British East Africa.
I beg further to ask the Under-Secretary of State for the Colonies how many officials in the administration of British East Africa have had South African or other African or Colonial experience.
§ MR. CHURCHILLI would refer the hon. Member to the list of officials given at page 48 to 73m of the "Handbook for East Africa, Uganda, and Zanzibar, 1907," which furnishes particulars regarding their Colonial experience. I am having a copy of the book in question sent to the hon. Member.
