§ MR ANNAN BRYCE (Inverness, Burghs)
To ask Mr. Chancellor of the Exchequer whether, seeing that the Treasury has no power as the law now stands to include Army or Navy service in the calculation of civil pensions, he will consider the question of the introduction of a measure to confer upon it such power.
(Answered by Mr. Asquith.) The conditions of military and naval service are so different from those attaching to the Civil Service of the State that I think it would be undesirable to make the change suggested by my hon. friend.
