§ MR. CHIOZZA MONEYI beg to ask the First Commissioner of Works whether his attention has been directed to the fact that a number of photographic firms have established stalls for the sale of reproductions of national pictures on the ground floor of the National Gallery; and if he can state what rent is paid by those firms?
§ MR. MCKENNAIn three cases the trustees and director of the National Gallery have authorised the sale of photographs of pictures in the collection in the outer Hall of the Gallery. No rent is paid for this permission.
§ MR. CHIOZZA MONEYIs not a source of revenue being overlooked?
§ MR. MCKENNAThis is primarily a matter for the Trustees of the National Gallery. I will consult them about it however.
