MARKS (Kent, Thanet)I beg to ask the President of the Local Government Board whether he can state the total amount of money which has been spent by the Poplar Board of Guardians upon the erection of schools at Hutton, Essex, including provision of fittings and furniture; and what number of children the schools are intended to accommodate.
§ MR. JOHN BURNSAs I have stated in reply to previous Questions, the total amount sanctioned in respect of the pro- 702 vision of these schools, including the cost of the site, is £156,545. I am not able to state the exact amount which has been spent on them. The schools are intended to accommodate 621 children.
