To ask the Secretary to the Admiralty the names of the battleships and cruisers of over 4,000 tons which were removed from the effective list in 1900, 1901,1902,1903, 1904, 1905, and during the first six

1900.
Battleships:—
"Triumph" Now "Tenedos I." Used as training ship for boy artificers.
"Audacious" Now "Fisgard I." Used as training ship for boy artificers.
"Invincible" Now "Fisgard II." Used as training ship for boy artificers.
Coast Defence Ship:—
"Belleisle" Sold.
Cruisers, 1st Class:—
"Minotaur" To be named "Ganges" Used as training ship for boys.
"Agincourt" To be named "Ganges II." Used as training ship for boys.
"Northumberland" Now "Acheron" Used as a receiving ship.
"Achilles" Now "Egmont" Flagship of Admiral Superintendent, Malta.
"Black Prince" Now "Emerald" Used as training ship for boys.
"Warrior" Now "Vernon III." To be attached to "Vernon" as a workshop.
Cruisers, 2nd Class:—
"Raleigh" Sold.
"Boadicea" Sold.
Total—Battleships 4; Cruisers 8.

"Bellerophon" Now "Indus III." Used as a workshop.
Cruiser, 2nd Class:—
"Leander" Depôt ship for torpedo boat destroyers.
Total—Battleship 1; Cruiser 1.
1905.
Cruisers, 2nd Class:—
"Arethusa" Sold.
"Mersey" Sold.
"Severn" Sold.
"Thames" Used as depôt ship for submarine boats.
"Forth" Used as depôt ship for submarine boats.
Total—Battleships 5; Cruisers 11.
1906.
Nil.

Note.—Repairs and maintenance are no longer being effected on the following battleships (in special reserve), in addition to those ships above mentioned, viz.:—

"Camperdown." "Benbow." "Rodney." "Edinburgh."
"Anson." "Thunderer." "Howe." "Devastation."
