HC Deb 23 October 1906 vol 163 cc53-4
MR. JOHN REDMOND (Waterford)

asked the Chief Secretary for Ireland if he could inform the House of the progress which had been made by the Estates Commissioners in the reinstatement of evicted tenants up to the present date; what were the causes of the practical breakdown of this portion of the Act of 1903, and what stops the Government proposed to take to remove those obstacles to a settlement of the Irish Land Question.

MR. BRYCE (Aberdeen, S.)

in reply, stated he was sensible of the grave importance of the subject. He had communicated the Question to the Estates Commissioners, who were preparing an Answer to the Question, and asked the hon. Member to postpone it till Thursday or Monday next.

MR. JOHN REDMOND

Monday.
