To ask the Secretary to the Admiralty what are the names of the battleships building in France and Germany, or sanctioned by the respective Parliaments of those countries on the 30th November, 1905.

The names of the battleships building or sanctioned on 30th November, 1905, are as follow:—Germany—Building:" "Loth-ringen," "Deutschland," "Pommern," "Hannover," "Q." "Schlesien." Sanctioned: Of the eighteen battleships sanctioned by Fleet Bill, 17 are "substitute ships," and one additional to be known till date of launch as "S." Otherwise they are unnamed. France— Building: "République," "Patrie," "Démocratic," "Justice," "Liberté," "Verité." Sanctioned: "A. 15," now "Danton," "A. 16" now "Voltaire," "A. 17," now "Condorcet."
