HC Deb 26 November 1906 vol 165 cc1212-3
MR. W. F. D. SMITH (Strand, Westminster)

To ask the Secretary to the Treasury whether alterations are being made in the plans of the Westminister county court in accordance with the suggestions made by the judge and registrar of the court; and, if not, on whose responsibility have these suggestions been ignored.

(Answered by Mr. McKenna.) Certain alterations were made on the representations of the court officials; but other suggestions were not adopted, as the First Commissioner of Works on the advice of his expert officers considered the extra expenditure involved to be excessive and unnecessary.
