HC Deb 22 November 1906 vol 165 c978
MR. JOHN ROCHE (Galway, E.)

To ask the Chief Secretary to the Lord-Lieutenant of Ireland whether he is aware that the Congested Districts Board have purchased Dr. Kenny's estate in the county of Galway, which has been in the possession of the Board for nearly three years; and, seeing that there are six families living upon it whose holdings do not exceed more than one acre each, and that there are four others under £5 valutaion, will he direct that the land be distributed without further delay.

(Answered by Mr. Bryce.) The Congested Districts Board arranged to purchase the estate in question in August, 1904, that is a little over two years ago; The estate has not yet been legally vested in the Board, but until this is done steps cannot be taken for its re-sale to the tenants.
