HC Deb 22 November 1906 vol 165 c990
SIR CARNE RASCH (Essex, Chelmsford)

To ask the Secretary of State for War whether, in view of the fact that the retired pay of Army quartermasters is dependent on length of service, not rank, and of the fact that the question of their pay was receiving consideration in May last, he can now say what decision he has arrived at in the matter.

(Answered by Mr. Secretary Haldane.) The conclusion I have come to is that I am unable at present to take any steps for increasing the retired pay of these officers.
