CAPTAIN CRAIG (Down, E.)

I beg to ask the Chief Secretary to the Lord-Lieutenant of Ireland whether he will caution Sir Anthony MacDonnell that when he is making any further speeches foreshadowing Home Rule or Devolution for Ireland when Parliament is not sitting, he will adhere strictly to the Cabinet's proposals on the subject.

All communications between the Chief Secretary and the Under-Secretary are of a confidential nature, but I may remove from the hon. Member's mind a misapprehension when I inform him that the Under-Secretary has never, so far as I know, indicated any specific proposals on the subject referred to in the Question.
