HC Deb 15 November 1906 vol 165 c97
MR. J. M. ROBERTSON

I beg to ask the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs whether he will procure for the information of the House a copy of the licensing law relating to the retail sale of alcoholic liquors in Egypt, together with a statement as to any modifications that may have been made therein, as to the present number of licensed and unlicensed retailers, and details of prosecutions and convictions of licensed and unlicensed retailers, and of persons charged with drunkenness in connection with those establishments, in each of the years between 1900 and 1906; and whether the law, if any, relating to the adulteration of alcoholic liquors in Egypt applies to, and is enforced against, retailers as well as manufacturers.

SIR EDWARD GREY

I will ask for as much of the information desired by the hon. Member as is obtainable.
