To ask the Secretary to the Admiralty whether ho can state what was the Vote for shipbuilding, repairs, and armaments in 1901–2 for Great Britain and the aggregate sums for France and Germany; whether he can give similar figures for the present year; and whether he can state approximately by how much our own expenditure under this head will be reduced in 1907–8.

(Answered by Mr. Edmund Robertson.) The following statement gives the information required by the hon. Member for the years 1901–2 and 1906–7. The information asked for in respect of the expenditure of Great Britain in 1907–8 is not yet available:—
