HC Deb 13 November 1906 vol 164 cc1311-2
MR. KE1R HAEDIE

asked the Prime Minister what Bill would be taken when the Land Tenure Bill had been disposed of.

SIR H. CAMPBELL-BAXXERMAX

I understand that the Leader of the Opposition wishes to ask me a Question on the subject.

MR. A. J. KALFOUR (City of London)

Yes. By the arrangement come to this morning, we are to finish the Report Stage of the Land Tenure Bill to-morrow night. I should be glad to know the views of the Government with regard to the business on Thursday and Friday, and, if possible, Monday also. Some of us will not be able to be here on Thursday night, and therefore it would be convenient it business of a non-controversial character could be arranged.

SIR H. CAMPBELL-BAXXERMAX

I do not wish to take any step or make any statement that would seem to lower the dignity of any Bill, but on Thursday we contemplate going on with the Merchant Shipping Bill, and, if that is concluded, we intend to take the consideration of the Report of the Committee on Procedure on Friday, and on Monday to take the Plural Voting Bill.

MR. KEIR HARDIE

asked when the Government intended to take the Work men's Compensation Bill and the School Children (Provision of Meals) Bill.

SIR H. CAMPBELL-BAXXERMAX

said that he did not think it was possible to fix any date until after the Plural Voting Bill had been disposed of.
