HC Deb 12 November 1906 vol 164 c1026
MR. REES

To ask the Secretary of State for India whether the murderers of the English planter, Mr. Goss, of Darjeeling, have been apprehended.

(Answered by Mr. Secretary Morley.) Two persons were sent up for trial in the case referred to, of whom one was acquitted by the sessions Judge and the other convicted and sentenced to transportation for life. The latter was, however, acquitted on appeal by the High Court. I am informed that no other persons have been apprehended.
