HC Deb 12 November 1906 vol 164 cc1009-10
MR. BOLAND (Kerry, S.)

To ask the Chief Secretary to the Lord-Lieutenant of Ireland whether he is now in a position to state what steps, if any, will be taken to construct a pier at Reenard, county Kerry, under the provisions of the Marine Works Act.

(Answered by Mr. Bryce.) The Irish Government are prepared, with the consent of the Treasury, to make a grant under the Marine Works Act for works at Reenard Point, provided that local cooperation can be secured. The Government are, at present, in communication with the persons concerned in the matter, and I am not yet in a position to make a definite statement upon it.
