HC Deb 07 November 1906 vol 164 c534
MR. MOND (Chester)

I beg to ask the Secretary to the Admiralty whether in view of the recommendation of the Douglas Committee, that no naval instructors should be employed afloat under the new scheme of naval education, he can state what it is proposed to do with naval instructors at present on the active list; and whether, if any are compulsorily retired, they will give any, and, if so, what amount of compensation.

THE SECEETAEY TO THE ADMIE-ALTY (Mr. EDMUND ROBERTSON, Dundee)

The necessity has not yet arisen for any action such as that suggested in the hon. Member's Question. Every consideration will be given, however, should it become necessary to retire any of these officers compulsorily.
