HC Deb 07 November 1906 vol 164 c523
MR. EEES (Montgomery Boroughs)

To ask the Secretary of State for India whether the recently concluded treaty with China regarding Tibet, provides for the continuation of the monopoly the former has in the latter country in respect of the tea trade to the exclusion of the Indian grown leaf.

(Answered by Mr. Secretary Morley.) There is no special reference to tea in the Convention with China of 27th April, 1906, or the Convention with Tibet of 7th September, 1904. Both these Conventions have been published in [Cd. 3088].
