HC Deb 06 November 1906 vol 164 c328
MR. BOTTOMLEY

I beg to ask the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs whether negotiations are now in progress for a commercial treaty between Great Britain and Servia; and, if so, what precautions will be taken to prevent repudiation similar to that which occurred with respect to the treaty of commerce between the two countries in 1881.

SIR EDWARD GREY

Negotiations have not actually begun, but when they do take place they will be conducted as is usually done between independent States.
