HC Deb 06 November 1906 vol 164 cc315-6
MR. FETHERSTONHAUGH (Fermanagh, N.)

To ask the Chief Secretary † See(4) Debates clx., 493. to the Lord-Lieutenant of Ireland whether the Estates Commissioners have received any application from Mrs. Leah Guinn Garvaghy, Irvinestown, county Fermanagh, an evicted tenant, to provide her with a holding; whether the Commission has acquired, or is about to acquire, any untenanted land in the neighbourhood of Irvinestown on which holdings for evicted tenants in that district could be provided; and, if not, will he represent to them the desirability of doing so.

(Answered by Mr. Bryce.) The Estates Commissioners inform me that Mrs. Guinn's application was lodged with them in June last. The Commissioners are negotiating for the purchase of untenanted land in the neighbourhood of Irvinestown, and Mrs. Guinn's application will be considered in connection therewith.
