HC Deb 05 November 1906 vol 164 c102
MR. FIELD

To ask the Chief Secretary to the Lord-Lieutenant of Ireland whether he will consider the advisability of having the control of the Irish Ordnance Survey put under the charge of the Department of Agriculture in Ireland.

(Answered by Sir Edward Strachey.) My right hon. friend has asked me to answer this Question. No change is contemplated in the existing arrangements for the conduct of the Ordnance Survey. The divided control suggested would be attended with diminished efficiency and increased expense.
