MR. HUNT (Shropshire, Ludlow)

To ask the Secretary to the Treasury whether he can give the total of the Customs Vote, the number of those employed on the indoor staff and the outdoor staff respectively, and the amount of the Vote devoted to each branch.

(Answered by Mr. McKenna.) As shown on page 3 of the Estimates for the Revenue Departments for the current financial year, the total of the Customs Vote is:—

Gross total 1,007,250
Appropriations in aid 54,550
Net Total £952,700

The number of the established officers provided for in the Estimates and the amount of the Vote allocated to each branch of the service, are as summarised in the following table:—
