LONSDALE (Armagh, Mid.)I beg to ask the Under-Secretary of State for the Colonies whether he can state how many of the 600 Chinese coolies who left Durban on 24th May on return to China were repatriated under the terms of the Repatriation Notice; and what was the cost to the Treasury of their repatriation.
§ MR. RUNCIMANThe Secretary of State has no reason to suppose that any of these coolies can have been repatriated under the terms of the new Repatriation Notice.
