HC Deb 28 May 1906 vol 158 c57
MR. T. SMYTH (Leitrim, S.)

To ask the Chief Secretary to the Lord-Lieutenant of Ireland if the Government intend introducing a Bill for the reinstatement of the evicted tenants in Ireland on the holdings they formerly occupied, or else to provide holdings for them elsewhere.

(Answered by Mr. Bryce.) Provision to the effect mentioned is made by the Irish Land Act, 1903; and, as I have already announced, a staff of inspectors has been appointed to inquire into the cases of evicted tenants who have applied for reinstatement.
