HC Deb 28 May 1906 vol 158 c51
MR. SOARES (Devonshire, Barnstaple)

To ask the President of the Local Government Board whether his attention has been drawn to a resolution adopted by the Barnstaple Rural District Council, at a meeting held on 18th May, 1906, to the effect that agricultural crops are being damaged by the dust caused by motor vehicles, and that the clouds of dust are making the use of the highways dangerous to ordinary traffic; and what steps he proposes to take with regard to the matter?

(Answered by Mr. John Burns.) My attention has been drawn to this resolution, and I have communicated it, with others of a similar kind, to the Royal Commission on Motor Cars, who have under consideration the subject to which it relates.
