To ask the Secretary of State for War whether those Militia battalions not already in possession of them can be immediately supplied with brown leather leggings from the large stock lately handed in by line regiments on the issue of puttees to the latter.

Answered by Mr. Secretary Haldane.) Militia battalions now in possession of black leather leggings cannot be supplied with brown leggings until the present stock of the former is exhausted. The reply, therefore, to the Question is in the negative.
