HC Deb 22 May 1906 vol 157 c1127
MR. HUNT (Shropshire, Ludlow)

I beg to ask the Secretary of State for War why No. 317, Farrier-Sergeant M'Rury, 3rd Squadron, Lovat's Scouts, who is acknowledged to have been injured during the training of 1903, when in Government service, through no fault of his own, and who is permanently injured, and was for three months incapacitated altogether from doing his ordinary work, has never been able to get any compensation whatever from the Government; and whether in view of the effect of this failure to get any compensation on recruiting in South Uist and the adjoining islands, he will reconsider his case.

MR. HALDANE

A report on this case has been called for.
