MR. WATT (Glasgow College)

I beg to ask the Secretary for Scotland if he is aware that dissatisfaction exists among the warders of Barlinnie Prison, Glasgow, with reference to hours of duty, especially in regard to attendance at lectures without time allowance being granted, and that a statement of these grievances has been made to the Commissioners with a request that it should be forwarded to the Secretary for S1cotland; will he say whether he received these papers; and, if so, will he say when he received them.

THE SECRETARY FOR SCOTLAND (Mr. SINCLAIR, Forfarshire)

I received the statement in question from the Commissioners on April 25th, and it is now under consideration.
