HC Deb 21 May 1906 vol 157 c922
MR. F. E. SMITH (Liverpool, Walton)

To ask the Prime Minister, whether he will, at an early date, cause the Aliens Bill to be reintroduced in the House of Lords as a Government measures in charge of a Minister.

(Answered by Sir H. Campbell-Bannerman.) As I understand it, the Bill in which the hon. Member is so much interested is still on the Order Book of the House of Lords, and does not require re-introduction. I have no doubt that it can be proceeded with if the hon. Member uses his influence in that direction with his friends in that House who stopped its progress the other day.
