HC Deb 21 May 1906 vol 157 cc918-9
MR. HUGH LAW (Donegal, W.)

To ask the Chief Secretary to the Lord Lieutenant of Ireland, whether he can now state when it is intended to proceed with the works proposed to be carried out at Falchorrib, county Donegal, under the Marine Works Act.

(Answered by Mr. Bryce.) The question of undertaking these works is receiving my consideration. It is no doubt important, but before making a definite statement, the Irish Government have to consider whether a larger sum than that originally proposed would not be needed in order to provide a harbour of shelter which would be really-valuable, and it is also desirable to ascertain what prospect there is of obtaining local contributions.
