HC Deb 21 May 1906 vol 157 c931
MR. LAMONT (Buteshire)

I beg to ask the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs whether he will instruct the British Legation at Copenhagen to furnish such a Report on the system of local taxation in Denmark as will enable Members of this House to form a comparison as to the burden imposed by the rates upon agriculture in the United Kingdom and in Denmark respectively.

MR. RUNCIMAN

If my hon. friend will let me know what the precise points are to which the Report should be directed, instruction will be sent as desired.

MR.BRIDGEMAN (Shropshire, Oswestry)

Will the import duties on agricultural produce in Denmark also be included in the return?

MR. RUNCIMAN

They are already provided by the Board of Trade.
