HC Deb 21 May 1906 vol 157 cc947-8
MR. GINNELL

I beg to ask the Chief Secretary to the Lord-Lieutenant of Ireland have the Estates Commissioners, within the last two months, disallowed the sale of any estate on the ground of excessive price; if so, has their disallowance, with the reason for it, been communicated directly to each tenant whom it affected; and will the Commissioners in future regularly communicate such decisions to all tenants whom they affect respectively.

MR. BRYCE

The Estates Commissioners inform me that in no case within the last two months have they disallowed the sale of an estate upon the ground of excessive price. In every case in which an application for an advance is finally refused, the tenant is duly notified of the fact.
