HC Deb 17 May 1906 vol 157 c628
MR. FIELD

To ask the President of the Board of Trade whether he is aware that an Irish railway company issue a note to be signed by men who desire to travel with live stock consignments by which the company is excluded from liability to the men or their representatives for loss of life or personal injury, however caused or sustained on the journey; and whether he will take measures to prevent the issue of such document in future.

(Answered by Mr. Lloyd-George.) The Board of Trade have received no complaints of the practice referred to by the hon. Member, but if he will be good enough to furnish further particulars I shall be happy to consider whether the Board of Trade could usefully take any steps in the matter.
