§ MR. BRUNNER (Lancashire, Leigh)To ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department whether he will grant a Return similar to the Mines (Hours of Labour) Return of 1890.
(Answered by Mr. Secretary Gladstone.) The hon. Member no doubt desires this information in connection with the Eight Hours Bill now before Parliament. A Departmental Committee is to be appointed to consider this subject, and it will, I think, be desirable to leave the Committee to determine the form in which these particulars should be required.
