§ MR. ASHLEYI beg to ask the President of the Board of Education what would be the effect of Clause 34 of the Education Bill in districts in which the local education authority has passed a resolution forbidding the employment of married teachers; and whether the undertaking contemplated by the clause will operate as an undertaking by the student not to marry during a period of seven years after his training is completed.
§ MR. BIRRELLIt is impossible to discuss satisfactorily the details of the Bill in a reply to a Question. There will be an opportunity for discussing the point in the Committee stage of the Bill.
