HC Deb 17 May 1906 vol 157 c633
MR. ROBINSON (Brecknock)

To ask the President of the Board of Education whether he will state who is liable to provide additional now furniture in cases of non-provided schools making reasonable demands for further and more complete equipment.

(Answered by Mr. Birrell.) The point raised in the Question, if I do not misunderstand it, is one of legal interpretation of the provisions of the Act 1902, and depending in part upon the circumstances of each particular case. I have no power to express any opinion upon it, unless it were to arise as a matter of appeal between the managers and a local education authority in the case of an individual school under Section 7 (3) of the Act of 1902.
