BELLAIRS (Lynn Regis)To ask the Secretary to the Admiralty what has been the cost of the official naval residence at Jamaica; whether it is now completed; for what purpose is it to be used; and whether it was built on the recommendations of the then Commander-in-chief of the North American and West Indian station.
§ MR. EDMUND ROBERTSONI assume that the Question refers to the four official residences which were completed during 1905 at a cost of £8,800. These 350 residences have been lent to the War Office. They were built on the recommendation of the commodore who was at Jamaica in 1902.
