HC Deb 14 May 1906 vol 157 c158
MR. BELLAIRS (Lynn Regis)

To ask the Secretary of State for War, whether the views placed before the last Colonial Conference by the War Office are the only official intimation our Colonies have received of late years as to British military policy.

(Answered by Mr. Secretary Haldane.) No, Sir. The Colonies receive the recommendations of the Colonial Defence Committee, through the Colonial Office, which are previously approved by the Army Council. The Army Council is represented on the Colonial Defence Committee by three directors.
