HC Deb 10 May 1906 vol 156 cc1473-4
MR. CLAUDE HAY

I beg to ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department whether he will now state what steps he proposes to take in regard to the alleged grievances of warders of local prisons.

* Mr. GLADSTONE

I fear I can only refer the hon. Member to the Answer † which I gave on Monday to the hon. Member for Sunderland, in which I stated that this matter would receive my most careful consideration.

† See Col. 979.

MR. CLAUDE HAY

Has the right hon. Gentleman any idea when an Answer will be given?

* MR. GLADSTONE

I am afraid I cannot say at present.
