HC Deb 10 May 1906 vol 156 c1491
MR. VINCENT KENNEDY (Cavan, W.)

I beg to ask the Chief Secretary to the Lord-Lieutenant of Ireland whether he has received a resolution from the Bawnboy Rural District Council, dealing with the council's views as to the disposal of the Lisanover ranch, near Bawnboy, referred to in the Question of the hon. Member for West Cavan, on March 19th, 1905; will the views of the local council have due consideration; and have the Estates Commissioners yet made an offer to purchase.

MR. BRYCE

I have received the resolution referred to and will forward it to the Estates Commissioners for their consideration. The Commissioners inform me that they have not yet made a formal offer for the purchase of the property in question, but they propose to do so as soon as they have decided upon a scheme for the division of the untenanted lands and have obtained the necessary undertakings for purchase by tenants.
