HC Deb 10 May 1906 vol 156 cc1484-5
MR. MEAGHER

I beg to ask the Chief Secretary to the Lord-Lieutenant of Ireland whether any representations † See (4) Debates, clii., 1014. ‡ See (4) Debates, cxxxix., 263. § See (4) Debates, cliv., 1547. have been made to the Estates Commissioners on behalf of two tenants, Mrs. Meally and Edward Comerforde, for reinstatement to their holdings on the Wandesforde (Castlecomer) Estate; and, if so, what steps have been taken by the Commissioners.

MR. BRYCE

The Estates Commissioners inform me that they have received applications for reinstatement from both of the persons named. Mrs. Meally is stated to have been evicted from the estate of Mr. William Murphy, and Comerford from the estate of Mr. R. H. P. Wandesforde. The Commissioners will inquire into both cases as soon as possible.
