HC Deb 09 May 1906 vol 156 cc1310-1
MR. FLYNN (Cork, N.)

I beg to ask the Chief Secretary to the Lord-Lieutenant of Ireland whether he has seen a copy of a resolution passed unanimously by the Cork County Council in connection with the inquiry into the working of the Agricultural and Technical Instruction Department, suggesting the appointment of a representative Fishery Board as in Scotland, with practical and competent experts as inspectors, and establishing a Government brand for mackerel and herrings; and whether steps will be taken to give effect to the recommendations of this representative public body.

MR. BRYCE

I beg to refer to the reply which I gave to the similar Question of the hon. Member for North East Cork on Thursday last.† It was to the effect that the resolution referred to had been transmitted to the Committee, as I thought the subject fit for their consideration.
